Agricultural coupling, a device in the form of a frame (or several pivotally connected frames on wheels or without them), designed to make up a mostly wide-ranging machine and tractor unit of several agricultural machines. As an intermediate link, the coupling transmits to agricultural machines the traction force developed by the tractor, corresponding to the total traction resistance of the connected machines.
By means of a coupling, machines (tools) used for continuous surface tillage and sowing of grain crops are connected. According to their purpose, couplings are divided into special ones designed for aggregating agricultural machinery of only one type (for example, harrows), and universal ones for aggregating agricultural machinery of various types (harrows, cultivators, seeders). According to the method of connection to the tractor, trailed, semi-mounted and mounted couplings are distinguished, and by location - rear, front and front, or side.
Individual couplings are available for use only with trailed or mounted agricultural machinery, as well as for combined operation with them.
